I must say I'm really impressed by this jacket. After placing my order (late at night after some fashion history picture book inspiration) I read some rather negative reviews online and thought I might be kissing my money goodbye. But the jacket arrived pretty promptly and was exactly as in the pictures on the web site. The quality is really impressive, especially considering the price. I could perhaps gripe about the quite structured shoulders and the lining, whilst really nice looking and fine for a northern climate, if I was wearing it in a hot climate it would be too warm. But I'm not and so it's perfect. Add in the fact that trying to find a decent Madras check three button jacket is almost impossible unless you go down the vintage route and the time required for that is something I just don't have. Or the truly bespoke and expensive route. There are some similar jackets still being made in the US but at X6 the price and I'm almost certain the fit would be poor in terms of chest to waist drop. So this is a great jacket and I'm super impressed by the tailors.
